I remember teaching the speed at which change was taking place in 1972 by using John Nesbitt's Megatrends as a reference. That, for me was overwhelming then. Flash forward to now where I could virtually work for days without interacting face-to-face with another human being. And worse, the more I do with the computer the less I seem to get done, which leaves me loathe to go beyond keeping current with email, Facebook and LinkedIn plus Groups I've joined. My work requires a lot of travel so I lug around a laptop and grudgingly admit it's helpful. Currently trying to figure out how to just travel with a smart phone. aargh!!!

Amazing statistics....the speed at which change is occurring is overwhelming, yet there is no other option but participation.
